Hi there, I’m Mashell.
Thanks for stopping by. I'm multidisciplinary designer whose deeply empathetic and loves solving challenging problems. Over the last decade, I've had the opportunity to help companies turn abstract ideas into digital products through research, collaboration, visual design and rapid prototyping.
Before getting into product design I grew up in a rural town in southern Oregon where technology was none existent, but allowed me to get creative and think outside the box.
I later studied art and design-thinking at U.C. Berkeley where I honed my research skills as a research fellow at the Center for Ethnographic Research. Since then I’ve been able to work on a wide range of problem areas—including complex systems such as building controls, e-commerce, community-building, content management systems and more.
For the last four years I’ve been the principal designer and co-founder at Mar Creative, LLC, a bay area UI/UX design studio.
I’d love to connect with you and hear what you’re working on.
A little more about me…

To pronounce my name, think of the first syllable in “Mustang” and then add “Shell” 🤓
